RE: Would you camp in 40* weather?

Yes I would, just dress them warm at night in footie PJ's just in case they kick off the covers.

RE: Guns and RVs

A.C. Guy wrote: The laws state that when your TT is unhooked with the levelors/ stabilizers extended, then it is your home as far as search and seizure, and self defense are concerned. When connected to the tow vehicle, it is an extension of the vehicle and the laws that apply to carry and possession in a vehicle are then applied to the TT. So if you are fulltiming, you have a home, then you don't, then you do and then you don't just because you move from one campground to another???????

RE: Guns and RVs

Just mail them to yourself up there. It is against USPS to mail handguns through the mail unless you take it to a dealer and have them mail it to another dealer where you can pick it up from!

RE: Suspicious email.

Everyone in our household got them yesterday on every email account we have, and we all have several all on different servers! Glad to know we are not alone. We hit the delete button, cuz we weren't even home when the first ones came thru, we were all at dinner.

RE: Combining Camping with your other Hobbies....

Has any one tried the stamp caching? Similar to geo caching, but you stamp the logbook, etc. I've done that with my sister and thought it was fun. That is actually called Letterboxing, and yes we do that along with Geocaching, motorcycling, and jeepin, along with hiking, canoeing, kayaking, metal detecing and anything to keep us outdoors and exploring. We are never home, a good reason to just sell the stick house.

RE: does everyone want an Airstream?

No we don't want one. We got a great trailer with lots of storage for about 1/3 the cost.(Means more money for having fun) Same reason we don't own Harley's, we got great bikes, for half the price, and everyone always wants to know what we are riding.( So more money for gas to ride longer rides more often).

RE: Overnight Stop Pensacola to Tallahassee

You have many state parks to choose from, if your going the Hwy 98 route, you have Henderson in Destin, Great big pull thrus, nice park too. Then you have St Andrews in Panama City a few pull thrus. You would have to make reservations, and then call to get the gate code if you will be arriving after they close. Otherwise, rest stops and Wal marts would be on my list.

RE: Is this a common 'symptom' of full-timing?

I could only wish that I would wake up tomorrow and have all these symptoms, wish I was full timing it now.:B

RE: wireless mouse died

unplug it, push the reset button if yours has it, and make sure that the batteries are good if yours uses them, then plug it all back in, and it might work again.

RE: Should We Skip TT and go 5'er?

It is personal preference. Not all 5ers have more storage space than all TT. How often do you use the bed of your truck and would it still work with the 5er hitch in the way? These are things you need to figure out first, then go with what you feel comfy with.

RE: What GPS Receivers will do this?

Get a handheld unit like the Garmin 60Csx you can load any maps into you want, it came with the TOPO maps, and we uploaded the city street maps to give us all the little roads, you can go hiking with it as well way into the woods, and follow your breadcrumb trails back out so you dont get lost. You can tell it from point a to point b and to follow roads, and then when you turn off of the highlighted road it will ask you if you want to recalculate the route, and it will pick another route from where you are to go to point b. We even bought a mount for it so we mount it to our motorcycles when we go.

RE: WAS heading to south padre this weekend now where?

You have St Andrews SP in Panama City FL, you have Henderson SP and Topsail SP over by Destin FL and all 3 are on the beach, the white sandy beaches, the lovely emerald green Gulf of Mexico!

RE: Maxxair vent covers - have you used them?

We have 3 on our trailer, and we wouldn't be without them for all the reasons mentioned above.

RE: DW wants a new 5er

but to hear from those with personal experience. But the dealer is unwilling to come down from the $19.9K asking price.. So I will move on to a nice Dodge I have found. Thanks to all. We have the Ford 6.0 haven't had one problem with it. I would seriously rethink the thought of going with a Dodge. Which truck has been rated #1 for years after years? The answer should tell you which one you should go with. Good luck with your decision.
